Professor Rajesh M Hegde is currently a Professor (HAG) in the Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Kanpur. He was the Umang Gupta Chair Professor (2019-2025), Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering (2020-2023), and Director of the Center for Continuing Education (2019-2021) at IIT Kanpur. His research interests include Machine Learning, AI, future wireless networks, pervasive/mobile communication, WSN, IoT, speech/audio processing for ASR and VR, and multimodal information fusion.
